Life
I
remember joy
I
remember happiness
I
remember love
I
remember peace
I
remember when flowers blossomed
And
the animals came to life
When
children played
And
the birds chirped
When
families came together
And
cooked feasts for the nation
When
a little girl smiled
At
a handsome young boy
When
marriage meant love
That
lasts a lifetime
When
we talked instead of text
And
read instead of watch
When
we lived our own lives
Instead
of watch fake ones being lived
When
we did what made us happy
Not
what pleased the society
When
we listened to nature’s plea
But
continued to kill the trees
When
beauty meant the inside looking out
Not
the outside ignoring the in
When
judgment never existed
And
I lived my own life
I
remember when I was a little girl
Playing
on the streets without a care in the world
Blinded
by happiness, joy, and love
Surrounded
by kids just like me
Whose
only wish was to remain happy and free
